This home is a great place for a family beach trip! Literally on the beach. You can sit on the front deck to watch the sunset and you can look over the bay and watch the sunrise off the back deck.

Very spacious gulf front rental with fantastic views and a great location. Comfortable sofas and beds with a large kitchen and dining area. A few basic spices (pepper), cooking oil and perhaps some coffee would be helpful. We’d recommend wearing footwear on the back decks. Overall, a great stay and we’ll be back next season!

We had a truly wonderful vacation, and we appreciate the opportunity to enjoy such a beautiful property. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the magnificent view of the Gulf from both the living area and the deck. It was a delight to start our mornings with a cup of coffee while soaking in the stunning scenery. The tall deck chairs were a fantastic addition, allowing us to relax comfortably while enjoying the fresh ocean breeze. We also loved the convenience of the outdoor shower and the propane grill, which made our outdoor experiences even more enjoyable. The layout of the property, with palm trees flanking the deck, provided a sense of privacy that we greatly appreciated. Being just steps away from the spacious beach was a highlight of our trip. Even during high tide, we found plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the sun and surf. The fact that the houses in this section are only one deep contributed to the uncrowded beaches, which made our time there even more relaxing. Additionally, we found the location to be very convenient, with nearby stores just a short drive away. The beautiful view of the bay added to the overall charm of the area, making our stay even more enjoyable. While our experience was overwhelmingly positive, I wanted to note a couple of minor issues that could enhance future guests’ experiences. We noticed that some of the spindles on the deck railings were spaced wider than the recommended 4 inches, with one measuring 5.25 inches. This could pose a safety concern for families with small dogs or children. Additionally, the deck latch could use some repair, as it did not function properly. We also wanted to mention that while the king bed on the main floor was comfortable, the box springs made quite a bit of noise whenever we moved. Replacing them with a quieter option could greatly improve the sleeping experience for future guests. Despite these minor issues, we truly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return to Sun Chaser in the future. Beautiful house right in the beach. Plenty of room for our large family. Only complaint was the bathrooms weren’t as clean as I would prefer and other areas seemed to have skipped also! Nothing big, I went and got some cleaner and cleaned it myself! Great host and enjoyed our stay

This property had everything we were looking for - steps from the beach, large deck facing the sunset, pet-friendly, and king bedroom on the gulf side. In addition, it has really comfortable den sofas & beds. We didn't cook in much but the kitchen seems well-appointed if you wanted to. I did love that it had a coffee maker and a Keurig - so perfect for morning coffee & evening decaf. It is an older house, so it comes with some of the wear & tear you'd expect, but nothing detracted from our stay. We had never stayed this far south on CSB and really enjoyed the location. We enjoy biking & it was convenient to go in either direction. Sun Chaser was more house than what we really needed for just the two of us plus our two pups, but it was worth it! The layout (two king bedrooms + two extra) would be perfect for two couples or two families. We would definitely stay here again. Also 5 STARS for Pristine Properties management. We had an issue with the front door one night as we were leaving for dinner & it was fixed before we got home. And, someone came the next day to check to make sure all was good. Couldn't ask for better service than that.

The house is right on the beach and located in a perfect area. We were there for Spring Break and the beach in front of the house was practically empty. The view from the deck is amazing. It is also close enough to walk to the Cape Trading Post/Ice cream. Some items to note though: The bathrooms and bedroom furniture are very outdated. As the listings says, bring everything! You are given 1 roll of tp for each bathroom, 1 bag of dish detergent, 1 trash bag, no shampoo, no basic cooking ingredients, no beach toys, etc.

We loved this place. It was super clean, including the windows to see the incredible view. Easy check in/check out. The location was terrific (beach front) and close to local shops and restaurants. We could not have asked for a better place and hope it is available on our next trip.

The Sun Chaser was fabulous. It was extra clean, including the windows thst showcased the incredible view. We honestly could not have asked for more. The beach did not disappoint with tons of shells, including a few bucket list shell on my list! If we come back k to Cape San Blas, we will look at this property's availability first. Highly recommend!

Loved the size of the property and the location. Needs some tlc and a few updates, but overall can't beat this wonderful property. Take EVERYTHING you need toilet paper, paper towels and any cleaning products. Extra towels and sheets. Salt, pepper anything you will need.

We had a great time staying at Sun Chaser.The location, beach and views are a 5. Right on the gulf with sunset views. Good house layout, including upstairs bedroom with gulf view. House has new sliding glass doors. Even better if glass was clean. Good mix of pots and pans and appliances. Not enough silverware, glasses or bowls. Check the list of items the renter needs to bring. It's quite long, including TP and garbage bags after the initial ONE is used up. Beach chairs can be rented. House could use some general updating and a new bed in the 1st floor master. Rental agency was quick to respond to our questions and problems.

We loved the location of the house on the beach. It had plenty of space. It needed curtains for privacy. The tv's in the bedrooms didn't work. The tv in the living room had no mediacom info for channels and programs. All you could do was change channels and try to figure out what station it was and what program was on! We enjoyed our stay, except for the issues we have put here. But no tv and no privacy would be a deal breaker in the future!

Glad you enjoyed the house and the area.  We will certainly look into the reports about the TV service as we've not had that issue before.  As for curtains, we'll certainly pass along the recommendation, as I know this property has plans for a renovation in the near future.

Update on the sliding glass doors, we have continued to replace rollers but the doors overall need to be replaced.  They are functioning but new doors have been ordered and as soon as they arrive they'll be getting installed.

The property location was incredible and the house had a great layout but needed maintenance. The sliding glass windows that led out to the deck overlooking the gulf need repaired or replaced, you could barely open the doors. The deck and deck railings needed maintenance as they were splintery. The washer was broken and that cost us half a day of vacation as we didn't pack enough clothes because we planned on doing laundry, so we had to go to Port St. Joe to do laundry at the laundromat. The biggest issue was that 3 of the 4 beds had mattresses that were horrible to sleep on, we actually ended up sleeping on the couch. The house was well stocked and met our needs. We really enjoyed the house and the stay but would have been much better if the previous mentioned items were improved.

Thank you for your feedback and I know how frustrating it is when things aren't working the way they should.  While we couldn't get the washer working during your short stay it is fully operational now.  As for the sliders, we're looking at options to get them functioning better but they will ultimately get changed at the end of the rental season.  In regards to the beds we realize many times these are personal preferences but we will work with the property owner to make changes.  Again we appreciate your feedback and glad that overall you had a good time.

Can't beat the location and convenience of being right on the beach. As others noted, all of the sliding doors are very hard to open and close, and all but one of the mattresses (the king upstairs) need to be replaced. Otherwise, the home has everything you need to enjoy a stay at the beach with friends or family.

The home was great, felt like a loved home. But there were some issues we had with the sliding doors(all four). They were so hard to open, and thanks for sending out a maintenance guy, that tried to help. And there was a scary spot on the floor by the central sliding door that was soft and sunken in - we just avoided stepping on it. Besides those flaws and inconvenience, we thoroughly enjoyed the property and the whole team was fast to respond to any of my questions. Thank you

Overall the property is great! There are a few issues that I feel need to be addressed. Sliding doors hard to open, no screens on doors or windows. Being there in November it would hv been nice to open the doors and windows for fresh ocean air without letting in bugs. Also, the unit could be cleaner a lot of debris and trash outside.

Please note that some properties do not supply screens for windows and/or doors because they don't want them left open.  While experiencing the fresh salt air is great it is also damaging to the property.

The area is beautiful and we enjoyed it. The view is breathtaking. The only downfall on this property is it needs some maintenance especially compared to houses nearby.

It's a good value. The beachfront property was amazing and we had a great stay - 5 stars on Airbnb. I did include in my review that the kitchen lacked some essentials like salt/pepper/cooking oil that I would expect. Only one trash bag, only one dish soap, etc. meant we had to buy and waste a bunch of products. The coffee table was broken, one of the outside chairs was broken, there was a broken outdoor broom, there was a leak in the downstairs exterior water hose....Maintenance was rough on the exterior (deck condition, outdoor grill, outdoor grill utensils) and the bed at least in the front right bedroom had one of the worst mattresses I've experienced in a long time. At least including some basics in the kitchen and replacing that mattress would go a long way for future guests, even if you are deferring maintenance on the big stuff...

Overall, the home was amazing just by location. The layout is nice with plenty of bathrooms. We had a great time and would go back in a heartbeat, and I give it 5 stars.
For those who are picky or have very high standards, be warned it’s definite not “pristine”. The home has quite a few maintenance issues (think peeling paint, screws sticking up from weathered deck boards, etc) and our mattress was pretty awful. Grill utensils rusty and useless, no basic items like salt/pepper are provided in the kitchen. However, it had all the essentials and you can’t beat this location!

f this house was any closer to the ocean, it would need a boat motor. Literally, the last step off the porch is on the beach. It was VERY nice. It had enough seating in the kitchen to accommodate the 11 people it is advertised to. The house was very nice, especially considering the ammount of damage the other houses around have taken from last year's hurricane. The beach was clean and in great shape. Lots of seashells, and very few people. Plenty of parking under the house for 2 vehicles and boats. The bbq grill was one of the best I have ever used. The view from the porch is astounding with NOTHING blocking the view. The ocean waves can be heard inside the house at night with the a/c running. It was very peaceful. I slept in the upstairs master bedroom, and the bed was very comfortable. The a/c was adequate. It kept the home in the mid to upper 70s even with the sun pouring in through the windows. The home has huge windows on the main floor with great views from the kitchen/dining/living area. Outside water spigot was nice for washing sand off. The porch chairs were used every night for stargazing and meteor shower. I've stayed in 10 or so beachfront rentals in the port st joe area over the years, and this one is the nicest. I hope we can come back to this nice home again.

Beautiful home. Pristine Properties is the best to book a vacation home with. Our original choice wasn’t ready in time for our arrival , they notified me and had already blocked a home with our dates. They ask for us to check out the website to see if it met our needs. Such nice people. When we arrived the city was pumping sand in front of our rental. Sherry found us 3 other properties to check out but we decided to stay with Sun Chaser and watch the work being done to the beach. It was amazing plus we got to spend the week finding seashells we normally didn’t find without the pumping. We have been coming to the Cape 18 years. We have used other companies before and we’re not satisfied. We will always rent through Pristine from now on. Great job guys!!! Sun Chaser is a beautiful home and steps to ocean. It was clean and well stocked. The only thing I see needing updating is the outside grill it was rusting and not very clean. We didn’t use it because of that. We plan on Sun chaser being our choice every year.

We had a wonderful time. The beach was fantastic and the weather couldn't have been better, there was only one day that I think we didn't get to go to the beach. The area itself is such a small town feel and not all the touristy things going on. We would recommend this place to all if you are looking to just relax and unwind.

Our time spent at the Cape was lovely. The home was very modern and clean with great decor. All the beautiful beach canvases throughout the home added a wonderful touch. The view and space are both spectacular. We had everything we needed and more!

Fantastic place to stay. Can’t get any better with the location! The house is right on the beach and the beach has a very relaxed, private feel. There is a hose and private outdoor shower to wash sand off before entering the house. Plenty of space for a family or big group. And plenty of amenities such as dishwasher, coffee maker, and laundry area that make it feel like home. Just a short drive to local the grocery store. We really enjoyed the experience! Absolutely recommend.
