Summerbay

We had a great trip and loved Summerbay. It is located very close to shops and still feels very private. The dock is a wonderful spot to watch the sunrise, fish, or kayak from. It is a short walk across the street to the beach. We would stay here again!!!!

We enjoyed our stay. The soaps and dish washing detergent were a very cheap quality. I would recommend washing all the cooking utensils and pots before using. Some of the bowls were not clean. There is no dishwasher so bring paper goods and cups. It would be nice to have a coffee maker that uses pods. The porch could be much more enjoyable with a nice cup of coffee.

We love this property! Bring on the bay side is best for our family. The upgrade on the dock and the cleared backyard were absolutely wonderful. We have this property rented for October 2022 also.

The kitchen could definitely use more pots/pans.  Other than the pots/pans issue, we absolutely loved the property. It was peaceful. Having the private dock was awesome. As soon as my husband finds out when he can be off next October we will try to rent again.

This was our first time staying at Summerbay. We loved it! It is the perfect place to stay for us and our dog. The private dock was awesome. We left our kayaks tied out the entire stay. The only things we would change are: more pots/pans in the kitchen and gates at the top of the stair (for dogs) on the deck. We have already booked our stay for October 2022. Thank you!

We didn't know what to expect, and were pleasantly surprised it was exactly as the ad described - and more! The sunrise/sunset's were absolutely amazing...and the horseback ride at sunset on the beach will NEVER be forgotten! Highly recommend the SummerBay!

The home was difficult to find when we arrived but after a few attempts we finally located it. The private dock and view of the morning sunrise over the bay was beautiful. We enjoyed being able to kayak and paddle board off the private dock and not have to pack up and load all the gear each time we wanted to do that. It was also nice to be able to have our dogs with us. Overall it was a nice house and served our needs well. However, the bunk bed needs tightening or something - it was very wobbly and unsteady for anyone getting into the top bunk. Also, I was eaten alive by something in the master bedroom each night. We washed the sheets twice but to no avail. We ended up checking out a day early because of that. I tried sleeping on the sofa but it wasn’t comfortable enough for that.

This place is amazing. Highly recommend. Two kayaks on site (single and a triple), with two oars. Kayaking was scary because the water was very shallow and grassy. No dishwasher on site, so bring dish soap to wash dishes.

We had a great time at Summer bay. It was clean and everything worked well. Communication was great with the rental company. It’s such a lovely house, perfect for a small family. Great area on the bay too and hope to stay again one day.

We are an active couple with a small poodle who returned to Cape San Blas this year to celebrate our 30th anniversary. We greatly enjoyed our stay at Summerbay. The location, weather and amenities were perfect for us to enjoy all of the things we had planned, such as hiking, kayaking, windsurfing and walking the beach. The house had a secluded feel, even though it was close to stores, etc. We stopped at Piggly Wiggly in Port St Joe on our way in, stocked up on food, paper towels, bug spray, etc. so that we could make our own meals, stay put, and enjoy the beautiful nature by foot, bike or paddle...and that's exactly what we did!

This property is great for a single family or couple, we really enjoyed fishing, kayaking, and seeing all of the wildlife at the dock. The views of the bay from the back porch were amazing. The only cons with this property is that the kitchen is a little dated and needs upgrading, and the driveway is rough and would be hard to get in and out of with a car.

View is fantastic. Bay sunrise everyday gorgeous. VERY sparse amenities, not even a salt shaker. Beds are good. Beach is right across the street. I would add child proof gates to both stairways. I would also contract with regular pest control.

Summer bay was perfect for our family of 5. The dock was fun! The home was clean. Only compliant was that several light bulbs were out so I just replaced them. Would stay again!

Nice proprietary. Lots of wasps nests on deck. Showing some wear overall. Would have been nice to know there was NO BBQ.

Thank you for your feedback.  We will look into the wasp nests and remove them if found.  As for the grill, all amenities for the property are listed online; if its not listed the property does not offer it.

A fantastic location and wonderful house. So quiet, private and serene. A perfect getaway from everyday life. The private dock was the perfect place for sunrise and the gulf a short stroll away. I'd highly recommend this property

We had an amazing time at Summerbay! The view of the bay was breathtaking, just make sure you have buy spray! We definitely will book again if we end up at Cape San Blas in the future!
