As a cherished, family-friendly retreat, Otter Cove is nestled quietly on the Indian Pass Lagoon. The home is centrally located between Port Saint Joe, Cape San Blas, and Apalachicola, surrounded by exceptional fresh water and salt water fishing opportunities and kayak adventures. The nearest boat ramp and public beach access are less than 3 miles away. Otter Cove also resides exactly 1 mile from the world-famous, Indian Pass Raw Bar. The perfect location for an evening hangout that includes great food, karaoke, and live music.

Water and woods border the property, while the front entrance fence and gate close it off. This provides complete privacy to indulge in OC’s prosperous, exterior space that include a fire-pit with complimentary firewood, a Weber charcoal grill, custom built picnic table, horseshoes, croquet, darts, basketball, and tetherball. The outdoor shower area has bonus storage space for fishing poles and beach items.

Captured from the screened in back-porch, is an expansive, panoramic view of the Indian Pass golden marsh. Sunrises and sunsets are breathtaking. Guests are treated with many appearances by local wildlife. The main attraction being the otters playing in the pond. Other nature sightings include a variety of birds ranging from bald eagles, hawks, osprey, herons, pelicans, cardinals, woodpeckers, and martins. In addition, rabbits, squirrels, raccoons, tree frogs, toads, skinks, blue racers, and fiddler crabs are all daily visitors.

Lavished throughout the interior are designer furnishings and antique accents that welcome guests with cozy vibes. The kitchen is fully stocked and equipped with brand new Frigidaire appliances. The living room entertainment includes a 50” Samsung Smart TV and blu-ray player, fishing library, and board games. A movie collection and childrens library are neatly displayed in the living room closet.

There are two first floor bedrooms with ample storage closets and a full bath. Located in the hall is the laundry area. A front-loading Maytag washer/dryer, built-in counter top, iron and ironing board are provided in this space.

Heading upstairs, to your left, is the reading nook, and off to your right is an alcove with a twin bed and window exposing the best view of the marsh. The second floor bedroom is spaciously airy with a full bath. It’s large, lofty-style closet has built-in storage shelving with his and hers wardrobe sides. This bedroom has a 43” Roku Smart TV.

Otter Cove History:
Meticulously selected by the owners, each room has specific, sentimental pieces that have been incorporated to preserve the memory of their loved one who sought refuge at his peaceful haven. The family is honored to open up this sacred ground; allowing others to create lasting memories while finding their own sense of serenity.

The real staple of the home was once the water wheel house. Every churn of the wheel displayed a true labor of love, as it was creatively built from scratch in 2014 by a very beloved father and papaw. Sadly, Hurricane Micheal swept it away in October 2018; however, the young grandson of its founder has plans to rebuild in the near future.

Great spot on the Forgotten Coast
Great, quiet location with a nice view overlooking Indian Pass lagoon and just down the road from Indian Pass Raw Bar. The property is well staged and well maintained but would benefit from a bit more substance over style and greater attention to detail. Disappointed to discover there was no hot water on our early day of departure, but overall we enjoyed a 2 wk+ stay.

Otter Cove is an amazing property!
My grandchildren were so entertained with the tether all, archery, horseshoes and, of course, the otters in the creek right beside the property! I loved the view of the lagoon and the beds were so comfortable. The kitchen was very welll stocked.

Beautiful view, airy backyard, secluded yet close to beach
Only good things to say :-) Our family absolutely loved this rental and hated to leave. The open concept family/kitchen area made it easy to socialize while cooking. The back deck had a beautiful view of the bay, and the back yard was very spacious with enough area to play games, cookout, and hang out by the fire pit. I also enjoyed that the property was not right next to another house and was not a duplex. The grocery store/restaurants were not far at all (10-15 mins) and a general store was right down the road (5 mins). Public beach access was 15-20 mins away and the beach is gorgeous. We wish we would have stayed longer and would love to stay again!

So peaceful
This property was exactly as the pictures portrayed. Very clean with board games and things for young children. Our teens played tether ball and darts. I loved the fact that the internet and cell service was spotty it forced us to lay down the electronics and be present with each other. Loved it best vacation ever

Perfect getaway
Our two-family pandemic "bubble" stayed here for almost a week- the first time we've been anywhere in a year. Otter Cove had everything we'd hoped for. A beautiful setting, all the creature comforts, plus a great balance between accessibility to beaches, town, and hikes on the one hand and charming seclusion on the other. We cooked (every single meal for a week!), we played games, we read books on the lovely screened deck, we had a bonfire in the yard, we listened to all the amazing sounds of wildlife, we watched countless birds, we shot hoops in the driveway, we went for runs, we took outdoor showers, we went fishing, we played tennis in town, we Netflixed a bit. We had a much-needed- and perfectly accommodated- escape from our "normal" reality. Staff were helpful, friendly, and responsive to our various requests for information and assistance. Thank you so much to Otter Cove and to the management company.

Restful and relaxing
Perfect place for two friends to relax and recharge while making trips to the beach, with plenty of room for us each to have our own comfortable space & room to hang out. Loved napping in the twin bed under the upstairs window with blue sky & breezes above me & redwing blackbirds calling. The place had everything we needed & checking in and out was easy. I came home from vacation feeling reenergized and rested rather than worn out. We very much enjoyed the deck & the swing. Would love to have a deck up high with no screen to enjoy the beautiful view.

Perfect retreat for nature lovers
Otter Cove was a wonderful place to relax and enjoy nature. We saw dolphins, an alligator and an amazing array of bird species all from the comfort of the huge screened porch.

Quiet Get-a-way
Secluded home overlooking marshland. Enjoyed an evening outside with a fire. Lots of wood provided. Very clean with very comfortable beds. Twenty minute drives to Port St Joe and Apalachicola. Thirty minute drive to St George Island. Prior to arriving I asked management a question about whether the coffee maker was a Kuerig and was told it was not. However, it turned out to be a Kuerig and the can of coffee brought could not be used. The two remotes for the TV were difficult to use. Directions on how to use them would be helpful.

Great house!!
We live in the north end of the county, but wanted to stay at Indian Pass, to be near Presnell's boat landing and the beach, as we have beach driving permits. Since we were boating everyday, staying right on the beach was not a priority. This house is awesome!! If your boat is not too large, you can pull right under the house everyday and wash it off. We stayed for two weeks and scalloped everyday. Equally close to Port St. Joe and Apalach. This house has everything you could need except food and toiletries. It's beautifully decorated and right on the lagoon. Everyday we came back, washed the boat up, sat under the house and shucked our scallops. Hope to stay again next year!!

Relaxation station!
We were in town for a wedding and this was the perfect place for our group. We spent much time on the porch overlooking the picturesque view and we even saw otters swimming down at the cove. Beds are very comfortable and house was tastefully furnished and spacious. The kitchen and home in general had every appliance you could need. We would suggest that a few perishable supplies provided for out of towners only starting a few days would be appreciated, such as dish soap/dishwasher pellets and additional rolls of t.p.. Also, more kitchen towels as we only had one. Not enough to do the dishes! We would recommend this property for all interested in a relaxing vacation!

A fantastic place to stay.
The property and location were beautiful. Got to watch sunrises in the back yard from the ground or the elevated, screened in porch. We could also watch herons and egrets and other wildlife throughout the day. Clear skies and little to no light pollution offered up amazing starry nights. Are shopping and food were wonderful. We kayakked into the gulf, and out to St Vincent Island. Wonderful. Only negative was the mosquitoes.

Nice getaway!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Otter Cove house. House was clean, decorated well, and had everything you might need. Enjoyed coffee in the morning on the screened in porch. Gave up beach front for the privacy this year. Front driveway gates can be shut for complete privacy. Cape palms park on the Cape (about 15min.)is probably the cleanest beach access with parking and bathrooms from the house. We also grilled out one night on a nice kettle grill that was not listed in the amenities. Biting flies did show up a couple of days we were there,so be prepared. The neighbors dog is bound to show up,but he is friendly! Enjoyed the stay!

Couldn't ask for a better location right in the middle of Apalachicola Port St. Joe and Cape San Blas but out in the country far enough to be peaceful . I was at home as soon as I got there.
