The house is thoughtfully designed to maximize its breathtaking view of the Gulf.  The main floor has the kitchen, dining room, living room with DVD Player, sun-room, master bedroom with bath, an extra half bath, and a washer/dryer. The living room, sun-room, and master bedroom all have large sliding doors looking out to the Gulf. The master bath includes a shower and bidet. The sun-room has a futon couch that folds down into a double bed. The main floor is tiled throughout. The other two bedrooms, which have their own full baths, are upstairs. One has a queen bed; the other has two twins. The ground level can be reached from the deck or via inside stairs. A ground-level foyer has plenty of room to store your stuff. There is an outside shower.  

Floor Plan: Ground level-foyer.  1st level-laundry closet, living room with access to gulf front deck, TV, DVD, 1/2 bath and fireplace; den with double futon, access to gulf front deck and stereo; and Bedroom 1-gulf front master bedroom with king bed, TV, full bath and access to gulf front deck.  2nd level-Bedroom 2-2 twin beds and full bath and Bedroom 3-queen bed, TV and full bath.  Both have gulf views.

The ONLY reason for less than 5 star review was that the maintenance man did jot check his schedule and let himself into the house for an issue that the previous tenants reported. I was not happy about that at all but Pristine Properties promptly called to explain and apologize for the error. The location is wonderful, the house could use updated furniture but it was ok with us. I would definitely rent this again.

Inside of house
Sparse outdated furniture no patio furniture on deck outdated appliances main shower old and molded. Views were beautiful beautiful windows in every room. Would stay again if things were updated

Overall, I would say that this house needs a lot of cosmetic repairs, a good extermination, and a new AC unit before I would ever consider paying this much for this property again. Overall, I was fairly disappointed with the shape of the house.

We loved our stay it was second time renting the House .. We put a gazboo on the deck could 1/2 it with a screened in area.. But we still had a great time and the House is beautiful and clean

This is a diamond in the rough. The house is bright lite and airy with fantastic views of the water. We oved the large outdoor deck. We were able to overlook the several unfinished wall and window repairs. However, the lack of comfortable seating was intolerable.

The location and views are great, but we are a small family of three and there was absolutely nowhere in the house that we could comfortably sit and spend time together (inside or out). It would be a wonderful rental if the owners/managers showed any concern whatsoever for renter experience. Thankfully we brought our own pillows and blankets, so sleeping was a little more pleasant. We wound up leaving a day early because we didn't want to spend any more time in that house. We won't rent this house again or recommend it, but for future renters' sake, please consider a minor investment in livable furnishings.

The governor opened up rentals on the day we were supposed to start our rental...whew...they handled it great. Checking in at the rental office was a waste of time when all I needed was the door code. We arrived after dark and got stuck in sand on the entry road, fortunately I was able to get in touch with someone (owner?) and he came out and pulled the car out...need to better maintain this road! They were not quick to deal with the smoke alarm and internet password issues. Tiny TV and non HD cable TV is a negative (we had great weather and no need for a TV thankfully) Really, the negatives were not too bad since all the good stuff made up for it. The location is awesome and it is RIGHT ON THE BEACH! Comfortable beds! Clean and well maintained (other than the road) A great time was had by all!

Please note, most of the roads on Cape San Blas are sand and/or limerock and private, not public; therefore not maintained by the County.  Sections of the road near this house are sandy and can be difficult.  Arriving during daylight hours can make it easier to navigate these types of issues.

We stayed here in 2016 and loved La Mer. This year, we tried it again and loved it. The beaches are the best, the bay is easy access, and the house is so much fun. Wrap around glass allows ocean views wherever you are in the house. Beds are comfortable and the small room on the ocean was my wife's favorite to enjoy views and coffee every morning. If I could improve it, I would add a closed in out door shower. Outdoor shower is strictly for rinse. The Mason's!
