Hatchling Hideaway

Hatchling Hideaway was the perfect place to ring in the new year! We had a fantastic time. The house was clean and comfortable; everything we needed was there. The beach was as perfect as it gets. Nice and quiet, no planes flying over, no traffic noise, only birds and dolphins and so many shells! Can't recommend it enough. We'll be back soon!

We enjoyed our short stay at Hatchling Hideaway. Our reservation of 7 nights was altered by Hurricane Helene to 3 nights, but we had a great time in 3 nights. The house was spacious enough for our family of 6 adults and 8 children. The large kitchen table was a lifesaver, providing plenty of space for all our meals. The kitchen was stocked with all the dishes and cooking supplies we needed which is important to our family because we eat all our meals in while vacationing. The bedrooms were spacious and the bunk room was a hit with the kids. The boardwalk to the beach was great for our carts, though we had to lift our carts over the steps from the deck which was tricky when loaded. The inside decor was dated and furniture was comfortably used. The bathroom shower curtains had some mold but otherwise clean. We were sad to leave and will definitely return in the future.

We had a fantastic three generation family vacation week at the beach! The kitchen was well stocked with the cooking utensils and pots and pans to feed a crowd. We definitely did not have any bathroom conflicts with 4 1/2 to choose from. The views were amazing and the location and privacy relished by our crew. We had so many cherished memories made at Hatchling Hideaway. It was our little getaway from reality.

We loved everything about this place, no complaints whatsoever The only thing I would say I didn't like was the star of another building beside it. This place being more secluded from anyone else was the ultimate best.

Kids really loved it... esp easy walk to the beach and their bunk beads.. kitchen was so spacious and also the dining area... everything was perfect including weather.

Loved the large common area for our size family group! What a fantastic kitchen area and dining table! When bringing a large family group with kids, it's so nice to have a well-stocked kitchen.

We have 2 families who have vacationed since the 80’s together. Since are families have grown, Hatchling Hideaway was perfect . Teens in the bunk room adults in the other rooms. A GREAT time was had.

Our family very much enjoyed our stay at Hatchlings Hideaway. We were steps from the water where we swam, boogey boarded, paddle boarded and kayaked all week. Dinners at night were lovely, our party of 12 could eat together at the extra large table! At night we enjoyed watching the stars, and walks to spot crabs and sea turtles. We didn't see any see turtles, but each morning there was a new nest on the beach. Perfect house for a big family!

Very private beach front location. 12 can sleep comfortably. Excellent service when maintenance issues arise. In our case 100 degree day and the AC failed upstairs. Repairs were made the next morning. Tuff night upstairs but I was impressed with the response by the Rental company. The property is worth the $9000+ a week in the peak season. Well done to those involved in my choice of a family vacation. Thank you again.

This property is great for large families with children. The kids loved the bunkbed room and being able to run out to the beach whenever they wanted was a plus. The entire family had a great very relaxing time.

Beautiful home. Will try this one again in the summer The bad: all the bedrooms.on the right side had NO HEAT. It was very cold and we had to buy firewood for heat. The right front door would not stay shut due to high winds. We left a day early.

I love the location of Hatchling Hideaway and really enjoyed the beach there! We saw eagles every day on the beach and lots of other wildlife. Natural and pristine and tucked away from everyone else. It was paradise for our group. We loved the layout of the home offering private spaces for each of us but large gathering room when we came together. The screened in porch is a nice bonus as well. We had no complaints.

A rare find. Large well-maintained ocean Front home with a well-spaced house on one side and several empty lots on the other. We enjoyed the Port Saint Joe area and Apalachicola after long, quiet walks on the beach each day. Awesome place to get away. We enjoyed it.

Our family of 12 very much enjoyed our stay at Hatchling Hideaway. The views were beautiful, beach close, and plenty of room to spread out in the hiuse. First beach rental where we could all fit at the table, comfortably. Big fridge and enough cooking gear to make dinner prep a breeze. The grandsons loved their bunk room! The adults enjoyed nights on the deck after playing in the ocean all day. Wow of the week was a brand new sea turtle nest. Some if our party saw her slip back into the ocean. It is essentially a private beach. Hope to return.

Overall, we had a nice stay. Enjoyed the spacious home and the layout of the house. However, upon arrival we had no hot water but was fixed promptly. Also discovered a leak up under the wet bar that had been leaking for quite some time. There was mold under the cabinet where the leak had gone. The gentleman from, I believe, Williams plumbing fixed it before he left. He replaced the stem valves on the hot and cold. He did a great to address these problems in a prompt manner. May have been a very slow leak after that due to the seal around the handles being eroded. We never used the wet bar during our stay. Also there was a screen door on the inside of the house that was ripped. We never had need to use those though. The biggest problem that did not allow me a restful sleep was the lock on one of the doors was broken therefore was unable to be secured and was awaiting a part according to the sign on the door stating that. We were not able to fully secure the house. This was our first vacation as an entire family-our children and grandchildren. If it was known that the house was unable to be secured, someone should have gone to a hardware store and bought a pad lock as a temporary fix. Again we had a wonderful time overall, but to my understanding it was the owner himself that was aware of the situation but did nothing to secure the home giving me insight to how you care for your renters. Chris called on Saturday and was very professional. We appreciated that call and professionalism.

Hatchling Hideaway is the perfect beach vacation home. The house is so roomy. It's great for a large family or even several families. The views of the beach are gorgeous. It's such a relaxing location. Highly recommend!! ??

Not my favorite for the money that we paid. Furniture was very uncomfortable. Large open space was great with dining and kitchen area.

House is plenty big for 10 people. Kitchen and great room were roomy. The furniture is not very comfortable in great room. Would like to have had more than one tv in house. Check in time is 4 but we couldn’t get into house until 6:00. One housekeeper cleaning this huge house! Pristine said it was due to Covid cleaning but the same thing happened last year, couldn’t get in until 5:30. Beach is nice.

We're glad to hear you enjoyed the house.  In regards to running over check-in times, it is completely our intention to get everyone in by 4pm however from week to week there are certainly times where we don't meet this goal for various reasons.  The additional COVID procedures in 2020 are a real reason but there are always challenges during the summer months to get properties cleaned in the alloted time.  We thank everyone for their continued patience and business.

We spent a week at this house with our extended family...total of 10 people and we were very comfortable. The layout of the house is great! We loved the open living area and the deck in the back! The kitchen was well equipped and easy to have several of us cooking and prepping at the same time. We played games on the large dining table and there was always room. It's a very well thought out house for a large family. Even the refrigerator held all our food! Being right at the beach to be able to come in for meals and easily going back to our beach chairs was so convenient! We saw dolphins almost every morning and stingrays swimming around us! We loved every minute of our stay!! Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful house!!!

We have been coming to the IP/CSB area for 20+ years. Our stay at Hatchling Hideaway on Indian Pass October 2019 was the most relaxing vacation ever. Thank you Pristine Properties for making our stay a success! - HH is right on the beach, quiet, not a populated area, great fishing, fabulous fresh local shrimp and oysters. We will be back to the area soon!

We enjoyed our stay so much. The house was so roomy and met the needs of our family perfectly. Loved the open family area. The access to the beach was perfect.Enjoyed the sunrise and sunset each day, full moon at night. Pristine Properties staff was so great to work with. Took care of everything we needed. We will go back.

Our family celebrated my parents' 50th wedding anniversary at Hatchling Hideaway. It was a perfect location for three generations to spend time together and enjoy the beach. The house was large enough for 11, and the 4.5 bathrooms were much appreciated. The beach is right outside the house, and we were able to allow the 5 children (ages 4-9) quite a bit of freedom in the spacious house and along the uncrowded, natural beach. We had a wonderful visit and would recommend this house for gatherings of families and friends.

I absolutely LOVED the layout of this house. With a couple different families all staying it made communication with the little ones very easy. i really liked that the adults could be playing cards at the table while in ear shot of the kids. The walking distance to the beach was amazing and the house was super clean.

We really appreciated their friendliness, extra accommodations in laying out the key for us after hours, maintenance coming over to check on details, and then allowing us to stay an extra two hours at late checkout… we recommend Pristine highly and God bless your stay in the beautiful Cape San Blas area
