Caroline’s Cottage, located in beautiful St. Joe Beach, will take you on a journey back in time when family was most important and spending the day on the beach was what you looked forward to all year long. All the nostalgia, but with an added bonus of modern luxury. This 3-bedroom single family beach home is the total package from location, views and design to interior and exterior amenities. The layout is ideal for almost any group, families with children, adult couple trips, a men’s fishing retreat or a girls’ getaway.
A top feature is location. Caroline’s Cottage sits on a large corner lot directly across the street from St. Joe Beach. This strip of the Florida Panhandle is covered in white sandy beaches and the Gulf of Mexico is buffered by the peninsula creating a calm shoreline perfectly safe for children and quite enjoyable for adults wanting to shore fish or just float in the water with a drink. With a dedicated beach access directly across from the house, there is no direct obstruction allowing breathtaking gulf views from almost everywhere inside and out of the house.
Before you even make it indoors, you’ll know you’ve arrived at your new favorite vacation home. You will find a well-manicured lawn in the front and a large enough backyard for a friendly football game. There’s a chance you’ll never leave the expansive front and side decks with dining and lots of space for sunbathing. Great spot for a low country boil. It’s impossible to describe the views from these decks, especially sunsets without seeing them for yourselves. They’re almost magical. When the sun goes down, take a seat on the comfortable sofa seating around the fire pit. And if the open decks aren’t enough there is an additional screened area for your enjoyment as well.
Inside is where you’ll find that mix of nostalgia and luxury. Upon entering you’ll take a few steps down into a bonus living area with a large flat screen TV, laundry closet, a custom sleeping quarters, full bath and a bedroom with 2 double beds and a TV. Unique to our coastal area, this space is similar to a basement turned kids’ or man cave….think College Football Game Day!
The owners have added small touches of local history throughout. You’ll find photos of the once famous Wonder Bar, historical documents & maps and even a flag flown in the PSJ Centennial Building over 80 years ago when the Florida Constitution was signed.
The upstairs living space is wide open with amazing views in every direction. You feel a constant pull to the outdoors with windows from one side of the house to the other. There are sitting spaces throughout to get comfortable in, and even a custom-made dining booth. With two separate dining spaces, multiple sitting areas, a living room with a large TV, a kitchen and a wet bar you’ll be set for entertainment.
