Nice, large home but needs some TLC Pros * Beachfront * Small dune so beach feels pretty close * Elevator was a huge plus especially for groceries, our toddler grandson, and suitcases * Master BR and BA were spacious * North end of Cape * Lots of windows on main floor for view and sunlight * Nice layout for easy conversation and hanging out * Had an issue with the garbage disposal and a repair person was sent quickly and was resolved Cons - * Kitchen had just the basics and some weren't in great shape * Only one hair dryer in the house * Bring your own extras because soaps, paper towels, garbage bags, and dishwasher are minimally supplied and no washer/dryer supplies * Boards on deck are wood and some are popping up * Pool is lovely and really cold since it's on the shadow side of the house * Bannisters show layers of dirt and skin oil and really need to be cleaned Would likely stay again but these cons do change how the week in the house feels.- Posted: 10/28/2024
Thank you for your feedback, Laura. We appreciate your insights about the pros and cons of your stay. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the layout, views, and quick resolution of the garbage disposal issue. However, we recognize your concerns regarding the kitchen supplies and cleanliness of the bannisters. We will address these matters with our maintenance team to ensure a better experience for future guests. Your input helps us enhance our properties, and we hope to welcome you back in the future.Visit Florida Beaches staff
We enjoyed our stay at Cape Destiny unit. The house was just right for our group and the location was perfect. The beach was not over crowed and was quiet and peaceful with no loud neighbors.- Posted: 8/3/2024

Our family loved the property. It was so accessible to the beach. The fishing was enjoyed by sons and grandsons. The beach is nice and big so football, Frisby and wiffleball are a must for active kids. The room layout worked for our family as well with older and younger kids in the house. I would definitely go back. The views from the rooms and the kitchen/sitting srea are just beautiful .- Posted: 3/30/2024
Cape Destiny is a fantastic beach home in an amazing location! Walking into the home for the first time took our breath away. The spaces were spotless, comfortable and set up just right for our group of 7. We spent most of our time down at the incredible beach playing bags rented through Pristine, relaxing in the sand and having an evening bonfire while watching the amazing sunset. There are a lot of stairs so having the elevator is a major plus and made move in/out extremely easy. The communication from Pristine was top notch and never left us wondering how to do something or where to find it. We HIGHLY recommend this beach home and will likely stay here again next time we come to this area of Florida.- Posted: 3/13/2024
House was good and in great location. House had plenty of space. Master bed was comfortable, but queen bed in other bedroom was uncomfortable. Lots of decks to enjoy the views, however, the deck furniture sits below the railing so it obstructs the view. We enjoyed the pool on red flag days. Overall, nice house.- Posted: 6/13/2023
Great location! House was very clean.- Posted: 11/6/2022
Great location. Awesome views from the decks.- Posted: 8/14/2022
This was our second stay at Cape Destiny. We liked just as much as the first time! Lots of sleeping space and dining area.- Posted: 8/7/2022
Great location, loved the elevator and the balconies, but it needs some updating.- Posted: 7/2/2022
We had an enjoyable stay. The kitchen was very well appointed and the property well maintained.

Nice house, easy beach access but steep beach stairs. Not recommended for elderly.
- Posted: 7/24/2021
Thank you for your feedback however I would argue the fact the property has an elevator makes it fairly elderly friendly.

One of the best beach houses we've rented in our 22 years of coming to the beach! The pictures don't do it justice. We had a great week.- Posted: 5/15/2021
Great time! Great house.- Posted: 5/15/2021

The pool wouldn't stay heated. The dune restoration project in front of the house created LARGE ruts in the sand that were not manageable to navigate. That would've been helpful to know ahead of time and should be disclosed to future renters. They were not smoothed out at night as the contractors said. Our young children were not able to get over the ruts.

Thank you for your feedback. The pool heating was determined to be a low flow issue that has been since resolved. It certainly didn't help the weather turned a bit chilly. As for the beach restoration project, we completely agree that its frustrating. While the County wasn't exactly forthcoming with the information about the project and when and where it was taking place we should have been more proactive once we realized it would impact your stay; eventhough this was after you had already arrived. We are very sorry it impacted your stay and while it is very necessary it was been inconvenient to say the least.

My family and I really enjoyed our time at Cape Destiny. The elevator was a super plus when it came to unloading/loading on multiple floors. The house has gone through several updates. The kitchen has been updated with a blue tile backsplash and white quartz countertops which are beautiful! Loved them! I really enjoyed cooking in there and the kitchen is well stocked. The fridge is a little tricky, but I alerted the office about that issue. The seal just needs to be replaced. It will not seal properly unless you slam the door really hard. Not a deal breaker for us. The bathrooms are all very clean as well as the floors. The house is tastefully decorated in a beach theme throughout. There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out! Enjoyed the multiple decks each day! We also enjoyed the heated pool! We were a little worried about that the first day since it did not seem to be heating properly but after speaking with the office someone came out and the issue was resolved. It does not heat overnight, but it does get up to 85 degrees relatively quickly. We really enjoyed that since the gulf was really too cold. There are plenty of great places to pick up food close to the beach house such as Scully’s and Weber’s Little Donut Shop. We did that several times. Overall great experience. We hope to do it again!

We all loved our stay at Cape Destiny, it was a great place to stay with the COVID virus we had our own beach area not crowded at all.

With an excellent location on the coast, Cape Destiny is a lovely and comfortable home with desired amenities.

Loved the open space and layout of the floors. The views were great from each of the balconies and having an elevator for heavy items was a pleasant surprise.

Fantastic property and great location, would definitely rent again.

Great property. We would stay again.- Posted: 9/10/2020
Great location, great house, awesome sunsets, steps to the soft sand and beautiful water. The pool was the perfect way to cool down quickly after a bike ride! All around great place and would love to come back!- Posted: 9/4/2020
This is our 2nd year staying at Cape Destiny and really enjoyed this house, pool, and convenience to beach, in spite of some minor issues. The WiFi issue was a minor problem and the bayside balconies were not used much.
- Posted: 6/28/2020
Thank you for your feedback. We will reach out to the internet service provider about possibly an update in equipment to help with their service. We will also investigate any issues with loose pickets on the railings of those bayside decks. We hope to see you at Cape Destiny for a 3rd year.

The house was perfect and as described. We had 8 people and had more than enough room. We had 2 families. The other family got the master. I will say the queen we had was not very comfortable. We did not sleep very well the entire week. That could be personal preference or the mattress may be due for an upgrade. The road leading up the house which homeowner or rental agency has no control is currently not made for any type of low profile car. The other couple got stuck and had to be pulled out. Not sure if it’s always like this or if it’s only like this due to the number of homes under construction due to hurricane damage (the road is sand). Pristine was excellent! I loved being able to do everything by phone including letting the teenagers in and out via phone. The trading post has great breakfast, the donut shop is great, especially the deluxe crescents, the ice cream shop was good as well. We ate at ConeHeads too, the burgers were fabulous!- Posted: 5/25/2019
Amazing location steps from the gulf waters. House was a mix of old and new after a remodel following Hurricaine Michael, but overall, everything was in great shape. Great access to 8 mile long cape walking/biking path. Walking distance to the general store/restaurants. The Pristine Properites office was nearby as well, which allowed us to stop by to easily ask questions about the property/location. I would highly recommend this property.- Posted: 3/20/2020
