Barrier Dunes 497 - 33 Capecation

Can never go wrong with The Cape. The property was clean and as advertised. This unit is one of the closest walks to the beach in this community. The access to the loft is a ladder and a little intimidating when you are up there. Communication with management was great when the initial key we received at check in did not work.

We had a wonderful week at the beach. What a beautiful setting and such a perfect place for families. We are grateful.

We stayed in the San Blas area and we loved it. We were right by the beach! We had a great time and will be back. A lot of families and we were able to bring our dog. Clean and gated neighborhood. There are stores nearby if you need anything but would recommend going to the main town as it will be cheaper. Beautiful beach town.

Property is on a great location! 2 pools, right on an amazing beach, dogs welcome. Management company was very prompt when the AC went out. Unit is dated and is in bad need of updating, but still comfortable and clean.

i stayed here with a group of friends, super easy walk to the beach. we had friends rent some other properties in the road as well which was great.
just be aware that both bathrooms with showers are inside bedrooms. also, the loft is really a loft, with a very steep ladder. so if you’re sleeping up there, to get to a bathroom you have to climb down a ladder and walk down another flight of stairs.
overall we had a good time! the pictures are accurate.

We loved the location and space for our family! These are 1980s condos and some have been very well modernized and other less so. This condo was very clean but dated in some areas , and a bit worn (nothing terrible).
The kitchen was spotless, but the counter tops showed wear, chips, warping etc. Make sure to bring everything you might need down to salt and pepper. It’s super nice that it’s so clean, but slightly annoying when you have coffee and no filters, or need more than 1 trash bag.
The bathrooms were also spotless, but older.
Other areas, the decks-beautiful breeze and perfect location for quickly accessing the pools, the decking is splintered and weathered no baby feet or fingers on this deck.
We knew what to expect based on prior trips to this areas and can’t wait to come back!
Make sure to go to Coneheads for some oysters too!!!

The overall property at Barrier Dunes is very well maintained. It was the specific rented property that had issues. Again, for the price paid everything should have been in order. You might also note on the property listing that the loft area doesn’t have a/c vents. This was a question I had after I had rented it. While it wasn’t overly hot upstairs it would be good information to have. We did enjoy our stay. I just expected a little more attention to detail I guess.

The upper balcony had loose boards on the rail, kids feet were black after walking around the condo barefooted, the sliding door on the lower floor wouldn't lock and the handle was about to completely break off, the shower in the king bed room looked dirty and the handle to turn it on/off seemed like you were going to pull it off when you turned it on because it was so loose. Overall the stay was enjoyable and everything was functional. Quality was good for the price of the unit.

Overall we had a great time and the condo met our needs. The bathrooms felt a little run down and the sliding patio doors did not work well and the living room one was very cloudy and didn’t have a screen door.. But we enjoyed our stay.

Location was perfect. Accessing the loft wasn’t really feasible with younger children so they slept on the pull out couch bed. Kitchen was nice and fully stocked. Was missing a sink stopped so you couldn’t easily hand wash dishes. Bummer there weren’t TVs in the bedrooms.
